For this activity students had to work with a group to build a bridge that could cross between 2 tables and hold a car to drive across. There were a lot of test trials and then try again. We had some success and some that needed more support. Great job!!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a fun weekend! Remember that the mornings can be chilly, so make sure you are dressed for the weather.

Orange Shirt Day - Monday September 30th is Orange Shirt Day. Students and staff are asked to wear orange in honour of Residential School Children and in the spirit of reconciliation.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Thursday. Make sure you bring your books back so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folder. Our spelling words this week focus on the short /i/ vowel sound. The word work activity is on the /in/ and /it/ word families. In Math we are working on the missing element in patterns and we are starting work on ordering and comparing numbers to 20. We are doing more work with writing detailed sentences, using pictures to help. Remember to begin and end your sentences the right way. Our school participated in the National School Terry Fox Walk. We also wrote about Terry and created a quilt using words the students felt described Terry. What an amazing person he was and what a difference he made for so many!
