Wow, Araabella has lost another tooth and wrote a nice story about it. She had fun helping her Dad clean up around the yard and reused old tights to make Barbie doll clothes with Mom. Awesome ways to help the Earth! She had fun making sight words in sugar and working in her math book....

Hi everyone. As we are talking about Sammy Snake this week, I thought a game of snakes and ladders might be fun to play. I do not have my own board game here at home so, I made one on a piece of paper. This might be a fun activity you can do together. You need to make a 10 by 10 grid. That will give you 100 boxes. Make your numbers from 1-100 in the boxes, add some snakes and a few ladders and you are ready to play. Dont worry if you can't find a dice cut up some little pieces of paper with the number or sets of dots from 1-6. Put them in a bag or container and take turns picking a number out.

Check out my board game and I also added a video of Ms. Moar playing a game of snakes and ladders she made in her driveway with her children. http://nelsonrural.nbed.nb.ca/ms-moar/video/snakes-ladders-fun-numbers

Have fun and send me pictures of your game!

Hi there! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. What beautiful weather we had. The snow is almost gone and now it is starting to feel, look and sound like Spring! This week our learning is about the letter "s" and Sammy Snake. Mrs. Poole and I have put together some fun activities for you to try. You can read and learn about snakes, measure yourself and compare your length to the longest snake in the world, make your own snake and create your own pattern design. In You and Your World you can learn more about our five senses and maybe, some of you might make your own book. I can't wait to see what you come up with.Remember to check out Starfall for the letter "s". https://www.starfall.com/h/abcs/letter-s/?t=292921692

Keep up with your reading and sight word practice. You are doing a great job.

If you can try Dreambox math again this week. Here is the link https://play.dreambox.com/login/knjs/8s78 -code # 51255   or maybe this week you might want to try a different math activity.Pick one that works best for you.

Please visit Mrs. Dickson's and Mrs. O'Neill Delano's teacher pages for their weekley plans.
