February 26 to March 1

We are having Spirit Week this week.  These are the theme days:

Monday - Jersey or Sports Day/Dress like an athlete

Tuesday - Retro Day: pick an era - 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's

Wednesday - Pink Shirt Day

Thursday - Flannel, Wool or Toque Day

Friday - PJ Day

We also have skating at the Civic Center first thing Friday morning.  Please ensure your child is at school on time as we leave at 8:25am.  If your child is wearing PJ's make sure they have splash or ski pants to wear over them or they can bring their PJ's to school and change when we get back.

Updates

We will be going skating at the Civic Center on Friday, February 9.  We leave the school at 8:25am so please be on time!

Corrections to Newsletter

Corrections to newsletter:

Pink Shirt Day is Wednesday, February 28 (not the 26th)

Spirit Week: Monday will be Jersey/Sports Day and Wednesday will be Pink Shirt.

Skating

Please bring skates and helmets tomorrow (Monday, January 29) as we will be going skating on the outdoor rink at the school during our Phys. Ed class! :)

January 29 - February 2

A few things for the week.....

Students are asked to wear school colors (burgandy and gold/yellow) on Thursday, February 1.  We will be having the kick off assembly for our fundraiser!

We will be going skating on Friday, February 2 at the Civic Center.  We will be leaving the school at 8:25am so please make sure students are at school on time!  

Homework will be sent home (most) Mondays and I ask that it is returned, completed, on Fridays.

Skating is Cancelled

Please note that skating at the Civic Center is cancelled tomorrow, Friday, Janaury 12! 

Students should still bring their skates and helmet as they may skate on the outdoor rink at school during their Phys. Ed class.

Nelson Rural is beginning our food drive to donate to the local food bank.  Any donations you can make would be greatly apprecoated!

Skating

Just a reminder that we will be going skating this Friday, December 1.  We will be leaving the school around 8:20am and returning at 10am.  Please note the early departure time and ensure students aren't late for school that day or they will miss the bus to the rink.
