Our fundraiser is in full swing.  Students are collecting pledges and donations until November 8th for our student council.  Pledge sheets should be returned on the 9th.  Our Liter-Action activity day is on November 16th when students will be engaged in sustained reading and physical activity.  All students are challenged to engage in sustained reading for 1 hour.  K-2 students will also have 1 hour of physical activity, students in grades 3-5 will do 1.5 hours of physical activity, and students in grades 6-8 will do 2 hours of physical acitivty.  Our goal is to raise at least $10000 for our student council so we can continue to offer field trips, extracurricular sports, and other co-curricular events.  Go RAIDERS!!!

Listening to French songs is a great at-home activity. Here are some of the songs and videos we've been enjoying in class. I will continue to add to this list throughout the year. As well, a google search for Alain Le Lait, or Mini TFO, will bring up a tonne of fun french songs.

Bonjour, Bonjour! - alain le lait (French greetings) - Bing video

Apprendre le français/Chanson pour enfants/Bonjour mes amis/French song for kids - Bing video

French numbers 1-100 - Bing video

French Numbers Song 1-100 | Nombres en Français Chanson: Compter jusqu'à 100 - YouTube

Chanson : L'automne est arrivé - Bing video

Mini Automne - Épisode 1 - Bing video

Happy listening, signing, and dancing :)

Reminder to families of our Fletcher's Farm field trip tomorrow morning. We'll be leaving the school at 8:30am and returning shortly after 11:00am. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather. It's calling for rain showers, so rubber boots and a rain coat is recommended. It's going to be an exciting morning and a perfect way to celebrate the fall season!
