Cali Crossman in Grade 4T and Madelyn Woods in 5S recently captured the Gold Medal in the Girls Atom A division of the West Kent tournmant in which over 75 teams participated. The girls play for the Miramichi Atom Panthers and Nelson Rural is proud of our student athletes.

The 2014 Go for 42 was launched at Nelson Rural School on Monday May 12th. Students from grades K to 5 heard all about the program and then participated in a 20 minute Zumba workout. This very dynamic workout gave them a good start for this year's "get active" promotion, Go for 42, which is organized by MANGO and ASD-N as well as a number of community sponsors, for K to 8 students in the greater Miramichi and Rexton area. The New Brunswick Department of Education and Early
Childhood Development is developing a standard province-wide report card for
grades k to 8 and is keen to have parental consultations. Please visit the web

The Miramichi Kinsmen and Anglophone North School District are pleased to accept film entries for the Third Annual Kin Film Festival. All students in ASD-N are invited to participate. Students may submit films in one or both of the two categories.
The first category is the Kin Category. Films in this category will address the theme “Doing the Right Thing”.
The second category is the Open Category. Films of any genre or subject matter can be submitted to this category.
The top films selected in each category will be screened.
