Our elementary team brought home 2nd place after competing against 15 other teams in the district. They also won the optional challenge of recording their process building and data recording of their catapult build. We want to thank all the volunteers, students, teachers and parents for all their help for making this a successful event! Go Raiders! Check out our photo album for the Catapult Challenge!

Our annual Terry Fox Walk took place this Thursday at 1:00.  Our event was coordinated by Grade 8 leadership students with the help of Ms. Baldwin.  This year we raised the most for the Terry Fox Foundation than we ever had, with about $2000 for this intitiative.  The students put forth a challenge that if they reached their goal of $1500 that the teachers would face off in a lip sync battle.  Our assembly was enjoyed by all. Great job Nelson Rural.

Some of the JMH Boomerang group stopped by to welcome our grade 8 students to high school today.  They encouraged our kids to get involved and try new things.  And these lucky kids even took away some Tommie swag.
