On Monday, students will be provided with a fruit and vegetable tray in their classrooms. As always, we discourage bringing in sugary treats from home so we provide some healthy snacks on Halloween. This also ends our Heart Healthy Fruit and Veggie Challenge.
It's our first spirit week of the school year. Pumpkins can be brought in on Monday and Tuesday and must be picked up by end of day Friday. Middle School Dance Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00. Admission $5 and canteen items available.
This week, in the spirit of reconciliation, and in support and acknowledgement of Indigenous children who attended residential schools and never returned home, Nelson Rural School staff and students will be walking for Wenjack. Our loose change campaign for the rest of this month will go to this cause. Anyone outside our building can donate using the following link.

Nelson Rural Staff and Students will be wearing orange shirts on Thursday, September 29th in the spirit of reconciliation and in honour and support of Indigenous children who attended residential schools. Please note, Friday, September 30th is a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation so there will be no school on Friday.
