Minister Bill Fraser visited Nelson Rural School on Monday, November 27th as they kicked off their Ring A Bell/Dots for Kids Campaign to raise awareness for youth mental health and wellness.  The whole school participated in wellness activites for an extended homeroom period on Monday.  Activities included meditation, yoga, book talks, Reader's Theatre, video response, group conversation, and an interview with the Minister.  On Friday we will be wearing Dots as we Ring A Bell and connect as a local community for 1 minute to encourage young people to talk about their own mental wellness.

Mr Pat Finnigan, MP for Miramichi/Grand Lake and owner of Mr Tomato in Rogersville visited our school on Nov. 3 to help Grade 2S and 5W prepare for our School Garden.  Mr. Finnigan gave us some great advice on what to plant, when to plant and how to tend to our garden.
