Code Club has started at Nelson Rural and we had a great turnout at our first after school Code Club last week! We are registered with Code Club Canada and this club will run for 6 weeks. We have started coding using Scratch and Microbits and students are collaborating together to help with eachother's creations!
After some more discussion, our first dance of the year will be a Halloween Dance after all with costumes permitted. Times are as follows: K-2 from 6:00-7:00, 3-5 from 7:00-8:00, and middle school from 8:00-9:00. Looking forward to seeing our students come out for a good time with friends. Admission $5. Also looking forward to our second annual costume parade tomorrow in the gym, beginning at 1:00.
The Elementary Soccer season ended with the district Jamboree on Friday, October 12. Team 1 came away with one tie and one win. Team 2, although defeated in all three games, had a great experience and played hard. All kids learned a lot and had fun. Thank you to all our volunteers and parents who chose to make this a positive experience for the students involved. Go Raiders!!!
