HOMEWORK:

LA - Read at least 15 minutes each evening

 

REMINDERS:

* Our annual Terry Fox walk will be on Wednesday, the 27th. Be sure to have comfortable outdoor footwear for walking (sneakers would be best). Donations may be brought to the school.

* ORANGE Shirt Day will be observed on Friday, the 29th. Please wear an Orange shirt on this day (if you have one!)

* We will ALSO be going to Fletcher's Farm on Friday, the 29th. Please have permission slips and the $2 fee in before Friday.

*There will be no school on Monday, October 2nd to observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

*A final reminder for student fees : $40/student or $60 for family (2 or more)

Reminders:

*Student Fees need to be in before students can participate in sports/field trips. Please be sure your child's fees are paid as soon as possible as Grade 6&7 will be attending their first field trip on September 29th.

 

*There will be no school for students this coming Friday, September 22. It is a PL day for teachers.

Packed lunch

Sunscreen

Bug spray (optional)

Water bottle (each should have their own as it is a full day outing)

Sneakers - we will be climbing and walking!

Hat (if wanted)

REMINDERS:

*Those students participating in Jump Rope for Heart, all money raised is due Monday, May 29th

*Middle School Spring Market will be held Friday May 26th. Students will have the opportunity to attend and make purchases. (Most items cost between $1 - $5, while some bigger projects have higher prices) There will also be a canteen on site. Price lists and Item descriptions will be sent home tomorrow.

REMINDERS:

*May memo and cafeteria menu were sent home today for those who reveive hard copies

*Fundraising tickets (hard copies) were sent home with students who made sales for distribution

*There will be no school Thursday or Friday due to teacher meetings.

*Students have viewed items at the Book Fair and will be able to make purchases tomorrow.

Tomorrow evening is Family Night (5-8pm) for those who would like to attend.

SCIENCE - Finish research page on the Nature/Properties of Sound waves (sites to use are included)

I gave the children a list of household items to look for at home to bring for a science project. (Please do NOT buy anything!) The list includes:

fabric

containers (check recycling bin)

pebbles / beads

paper towel and bathroom tissue tubes

string

* Students do need their own glue and tape though!
