Today was "School Colours Day" at Nelson Rural!  Lots of students dressed to show their school spirit.  We wrapped up our Wellness Week with some "Fun and Fitness on The Field".  We had fun doing the "Freeze Dance" and then kept movin' with some fitness activities.  I am very proud of the students' effort in writing today.  They worked really hard at adding more detail to their ideas.  What a smart bunch of kids!We used our apples to conduct an "experiment"....ask your student about what we observed. We also had a taste test....which colour of apple do you like:  red, green or yellow? Next week we will be thinking about Thanksgiving and Fire Prevention Week. Have a great weekend!

We had a great day at the Apple Orchard!  Thanks to the Home & School for paying for us to go!  We had a ride on the wagon and picked some yummy apples.  Then we had lunch in the barn!  They sent us back to school with a bag of apples and a pumpkin!  Hopefully we will make something yummy with our apples.Check out a picture of us at the Apple Orchard in our Image gallery. Tomorrow is "Walk or Wheel to School"  day.  If you are able, encourage your child to walk or ride their bike to school.  Some families choose to drive as far as the Little White School on Sutton Rod and then walk or ride to the school.
