Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun weekend! Remember to make sure you are dressed for the weather. Don't forget your hats and mittens!

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Library - Our library day is on Tuesday. Please bring your book back so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. Our spelling words this week focus on the short /i/ and short /o/ vowel sounds and the word work activity is on this as well. In math we are working on counting in different ways, even and odd numbers and comparing and ordering numbers. We are starting to work on the organization trait in writing. It is important to tell things in order when we write, so the writing activity is on this. Make sure you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet.

Remembrance Day Service - Our school Remembrance Day Service is on Thursday November 8th at 10:00AM. Please join us if you can.

No School - There is no school for students on Friday November 9th as it as a Professional Learning Day for teachers. Monday November 12th is the Remembrance Day holiday so there is no school.

Skating - Out first skating day of the year is on Tuesday November 13th. Students need skates and a helmet. If you need to borrow some please let me know as we do have some extras at the school. Parents and grandpaents are welcome to join us at the rink if you can.

Food Drive - The school has started our annual food drive in support of the Food Bank. Please send in some non-perishable food items if you can.

We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful, free and safe country like Canada. Please take time on Remembrance Day to remember our brave veterans and soldiers who fought for our freedom and continue to support peace efforts today.

Have a great week everyone!
