Chess Club 2020

 

Hello chess players!

I will be starting chess club again this year. It will be starting in February, so keep a look out for a sign up sheet that I will have outside my classroom door after Christmas. If you have been in Chess Club, please check off "Returning" on the sign up sheet.

Just a reminder to students that there is chess club every Thursday.

We have chess club this thursday as well February 28th.

Chess Club

Just a reminder that chess club is on Thursdays from 2-3pm for K-2 and 3-4pm for 3-8.

If there are school closures, chess is cancelled as well.

Chess Board Sign-out sheet

Hello Chess players!

There will be a Chess Board sign out sheet in Miss.Hitchman's class for any student who would like to sign out a chess board for the week. Please return them every Monday to Miss. Hitchman so another student can sign it out.

Chess Memo

Chess club begins on Monday, January 22, 2018. Memos were sent home on Friday and there was a meeting at lunch time for any students interested in playing.

  • Chess club is every Monday after school from 3:15-4:15. Students are to meet Miss Hitchman in the library and sit quietly until Chess begins.
  • Students are to have drives arranged in advance and will not be permitted to call home during the day.
  • Once chess club is over, students will be asked to put away their chess board and pieces before leaving.
  • Students who do not have any experience playing chess will learn the rules and how to play.

Chess Club

 

I will be starting a chess club beginning after Christmas. If any students in grades 4-8 are interested in attending, I will be putting up a sign up sheet closer to Christmas. I may be having an after school club, depending on the interest. Any students who are interested, just stop by my classroom and let me know what days and times would work best for you!
