Hi there, I hope you had a fun weekend. It was a snowy Sunday, so I know the children will be excited to play in the snow, please come dressed for the weatherwith your snow pants,coats, boots,hat, mittens. If possible, please send an extra pair of mittens and socks in your childs book bag. Thanks!
Phys. Ed. Classes- We have phys.ed. classes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.Please dress in comfy clothes and sneakers to run, exercise and play.Our extra phys.ed class on Wednesday afternoon is an outdoor class, so please dress for the weather. This is when the extra pair of gloves and socks will come in handy.
Cafeteria- Place your daily lunch orders online. Please let me know if your child is purchasing lunch or any item by,sending a note indicating exactly what they are ordering, along with the money in a baggie.Even if your child is only ordering milk or a cookie please send a note. Thanks for your support!
Water Bottles- Please send in a water bottle with your child each day. Thanks!
Library- Read your library book this week. All books are do back at school, Friday, December 13th.Thanks!
Homework- This week we would like for you to share some of your favourite family Christmas Traditions.There is a sheet to complete in the homework duotang, please fill in your favourite Christmas movie, treat, book and a tradition your family does each year. Students can draw a picture in each box and parents can help with sounding out words and children will print the letter sounds they hear.Have fun sharing! Please, return your homework book on Thursday this week.Also, students have a book to read called, "I can see the holiday fun!". As they read, students should point to each word to ensure they read the correct number of words in the sentence. Students should recognize our sight words such as, "I, can, see, the". They should say the beginning letter sound for the unknown word and sound out the rest of the word and use the picture to help identify the word. Please sign the reading log each time your child reads the book. Your child should print there name on the sheet. Please return the book in the reading bag on Friday.Thanks!
Christmas Shop- Our Home and School are having a Christmas Shop on Dec.9th and 10th for students to do Christmas shopping for their family. Please send in a few dollars with your child so they can buy their own special gifts.
Christmas Dinner- Our Christmas Dinner will be held on Thursday, December, 12th. This will be the only measl served that day, so your child will have to bring a lunch if they do like turkey. There is no cost for students.
Food Bank Donations- To get us in the spirit of Christmas we are collecting food bank donations all this week. Any items would be greatly appreciated.
Christmas Concert- Our school concert will be held on Wednesday,December 18th at 9:00am, with the storm date on Thursday, December 19th.
