Phys. Ed

• Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Library

• Our library day is on Tuesday.
• Make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Reading

• The homework for the week is listed in the orange homework books.
• Spelling words for the week focus on question words. Some of the words begin with /wh/.
• We will be working on them at school and sending them home to work on for homework.
• We will do a test on the words on Friday.
• Please continue with our sight word sheets. Remember to have the Homework Helper sign the list when you know all the words.
• The word work activity focuses on our spelling words. Use each of the words in the box and write a question for it. Make sure to add good details and begin and end your sentence the right way. Questions end with a ?.
• In Math we are working on adding 2-digit numbers. The students have been using strategies that work best for them to help them add. Remember to show your work. How did you get the answer? If we have too many ones, we can make another ten.
• Choose one book from the reading bag to read each night. Use your strategies to help with the reading and record your book on the log sheet.

Jump Rope For Heart

• If you would like your child to participate in this event, sign the orange permission slip that went home and return it to school.
• We will send the fundraising information and envelope back to you.
• Pledges and money are due back on Monday May 29^th.
• Jump Day will be on Friday June 2^nd.

Middle School Entrepreneur Fair

• This will take place on Friday May 26^th.
• Middle School students will be selling products that they made.
• Students will be able to purchase the items.
• A memo with the product list and prices will be going home this week.

Water Bottles

• Just a reminder to bring in a water bottle that you can refill and use throughout the day.
