Hi there,Happy Fall!

Here's whats happening this week in Kindergarten.

Literacy- This week we are starting our Borrow-A-Book program. Students will be bringing home their ABC Letter Tracing Book. Students are to trace each letter by following the arrows with their finger. Say each letter name, letter sound and animal name.This will be great practice for proper letter formation and also review of our Zoo-phonics language program. Please fill in the reading log each night and have students print their name.Return your borrow-a-book bag to class on Friday.

Math- We are continuing with creating and extending AB patterns  for ex. circle, square, circle, square, circle.Search for patterns around your home, how many differnt patterns can you find.Make patterns with your toys or socks. Be creative and have fun.Count how many objects you used to make your pattern.

Library- We go to the library on Tuesday.Please return your book to school, so you will be able to sign out a new book. Thanks and happy reading.

Phys. Ed. Classes are on Tuesday to Thursday.Be sure to wear comfy clothes.

Lunch orders-  When ordering lunch, remember to please send a note of what meal your child wants in a baggie or wallet with the money. Please put this in their agenda or folder.Thanks!

Thanksgiving Meal-The cafeteria will be having a Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday Oct.7th. Pre-orders and money for the meal are due October 1st. Please return the yellow order sheet, which goes home on Monday Sept.27, if your child wants this meal.

Orange Shirt Day-On Thursday, Sept.30, please wear an orange shirt in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation."Every Child Matters". 

Fletcher's Farm- On Thursday, September 30 our class will be walking to Fletchers Farm in the afternoon. We will leave school around 11:00 and will be eating our lunch there. Please pack a lunch that doesn't have to be heatead and a drink.The cost for each student will be $3. Be sure to wear your sneakers and dress for the weather. Can't wait to check out this years maze and feed all of the animals. 

Remember to pack your water bottle and bring 2 extra clean mask to class with you.
