Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a good weekend. We are expecting some colder temperatures with the windchill this week, so please make sure you are dressed for the weather.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Tuesday, so make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. We continue to work on our words for the Spell-A-Thon, so make sure to keep working on them at home too. The word work activity is with these words as well. The 6+1 Writing Trait we are focusing on is voice, so the writing activity is on using voice in writing. In math we are working on fact families and order in subtraction. Please make sure that you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet.

Spell-A-Thon Fundraiser - Just a reminder that the pledge sheets for the Spell-A-Thon are due back on Wednesday February 13th and the Spell-A-Thon will be held on Friday February 15th. Please do your best to collect pledges and study your words.

Valentine's Day - We will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Thursday February 14th. Students can bring in their valentine's to exchange with their classmates. Each class will also be provided with a healthy snack on that day.

Flag Day - Friday February 15th is National Flag Day Of Canada. Our flag will be 54 years old! Students and staff are asked to wear red and white or Canada clothing on Friday in honour of our flag.

Family Day Holiday - Just a reminder that Monday February 18th is the Family Day holiday, so there is no school.

Have a wonderful week!
