This is a reminder that the Christmas Turkey Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday December 15th. The cost for the dinner is $4. Money for the dinner is to be given to homeroom teachers.
NOTE:
Students not purchasing dinner are asked to bring a packed lunch as turkey is the only item on the menu.
Come on out and kick off Christmas celebrations with the official Nelson Rural Christmas Tree Lighting!
Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to bring an ornament from home to hang on our beautiful tree in the lobby. Hot chocolate will be served along with carol singing.

Five students from Nelson Rural were given the opportunity of a lifetime as they experienced first hand what it was like to record and produce a television show.
Lauren Fitzpatrick, Isaac Henderson, Austin Urquhart, Rae Jardine, and Layne Wallace gained hands on experience working with Maria Panopalis, Field Producer Rachel Bower, and Cameraman George Reeves all from CTV. They were on the Miramichi to produce an upcoming show.

There will be a mandatory information session on Archery for grade 8 students and parents on Tuesday November 16th in the library beginning at 6 pm.
Items for discussion will include possible times, safety guidelines, and an overview of the NASP program.

Students must bring their permission slips on Tuesday evening!

The Nelson Rural Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place on Wednesday November 10th beginning at 10 am in the gymnasium.
Please take the time to remember all those who sacrificed their lives!!
This is a reminder that parent teacher interviews will be conducted on Thursday Nov. 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and again on Friday Nov. 5th from 9:00 - 11:30 am.
On Tuesday October 26th Mme. Riordon Barry's class had the chance to experience Six Ropes climbing at MVHS. Students were engaged in team building, trust, and the ability to get out of ones comfort zone.

Congratulations to all the candidates running for Nelson Rural Student Council! Voting took place on Friday Oct. 15th. Counting of the ballots was completed on Friday evening.
