Grade 2 News - October 31 - November 4

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had fun trick or treating on Halloween Night! Just a reminder that if you bring in snacks for lunch and recess, check to see if they are nut free.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Wednesday. Please bring your book back, so you can sign out another one.

Homework/ Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. Our spelling words this week focus on the short /u/ vowel sound. In math we are working on counting with money. It would be good if you could practice at home using, pennies, dimes and nickles. This can help us count by 1s, 5s and 10s. We are also working with even and odd numbers. Our word family this week is /un/, you need to make different words with this by changing the beginning sound and we are working on vowel sounds. Please make sure you read your book each night and record it on your log sheet.

Collaborative Project With Dallas, Texas - We met with our friends again on Friday. Cameron, Novalee, Eria and Kierstyn did a great job as the weather and class reporters and poetry readers. This week we will start writing our individual letters to them.

Have a super week!
