Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend! We had some really cold days last week, so please make sure you are dressed for the weather. It would be a good idea to have a hat and mitts or gloves in your book bag.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Tuesday. Make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another book.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folder. Our spelling words this week focus on the short /u/ vowel sound and the word work activity is on this too. We are working on the main idea with our writing traits. The main idea is Halloween. Make sure you write three good detailed sentences about Halloween and that they begin and end the right way. In Math we are working on even and odd numbers and comparing and ordering numbers to 20. Please make sure that you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet.

Costume Parade - We will be having our Halloween Costume Parade on Friday October 26th. The students are asked to bring their costume to school.

K-2 Dance - The HomeĀ and School will be hosting a dance for the K-2 students on Friday October 26th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. The cost is $5.00.

Tulip Garden - We planted our tulip garden with Ms. Hackett's and Mrs. Woods classes. It was a very cold day but we put 72 tulip bulbs in the ground. This is part of our project with Journey North. We will observe our garden and others around the world to track springs arrival.

Have a wonderful week!
