Hi Everyone,  I hope you had a good weekend! The weather is getting colder! Please make sure that you are coming dressed for the weather with hats, jackets and mittens.      Phys.Ed  Our Phys.Ed days are Monday and Wednesday.        Library  We have library on Wednesday. Please remember to bring your book.    Class Pictures  Our Class Pictures are available to students at a cost of $2.00      Project With Texas  Our friends in Texas were on holiday last week, as they celebrated Thanksgiving. We were unable to connect the week before to do our weekly report. Evan B., Madeline and Caleb will be our reporters for this week. We sent our letters off to Texas last week, so they should get them by the end of this week. We checked on our tulip garden and observed the changes and checked the soil temperature. We predicted what we thought would happen before we went to see the garden. There was nothing growing, but we did see frost on the soil. Our friends in Texas still have not planted their bulbs yet.                                                                            Play With Your Food Art Show  As part of our project with Texas, we will be having our 6th annual Play With Your Food Art Show. Each student in Grades 2&3 will create a character using fruits and/or vegetables. The show will be held on Thursday November 29th. The characters can only be made the night before, so students will make them on Wednesday November 28th. We will send home black eyed peas and toothpicks on that day. A memo has been sent home about the art and there will be follow up ones. The characters do not have to big or elaborate. They can be made with one peice of fruit or vegetable. Check at home first, you may see a character in something you already have. Check out the Iamge Galleries on the school website for pictures of previous years. We are looking forward to this year's show.  Sheree Fitch  On Tuesday November 27th, we will be going to Gretna Green school to see Canadian author Sheree Fitch.        Family Math Night  The school will be hosting a Family Math Night for K-5 students and their families on Tuesday November 27th from 6:00-7:00pm. Come out and have some fun!    Have a great week!
