Phys. Ed

• Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Library

• Our library day is on Tuesday.
• Make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Reading

• The homework for the week is listed in the orange homework books.
• Spelling words for the week focus on /ow/ words.
• We will be working on them at school and sending them home to work on for homework.
• We will do a test on the words on Friday.
• Please continue with our sight word sheets. Remember to have the Homework Helper sign the list when you know all the words.
• The word work activity focuses on our spelling words. Use the /ow/ words to fill in the missing word in each sentence. Use each of the words in the box and write a sentence for it. Make sure to add good details and begin and end your sentence the right way.
• In Math we are working on subtracting 2-digit numbers. The students have been using strategies that work best for them to help them subtract. Remember to show your work. How did you get the answer?
• Choose one book from the reading bag to read each night. Use your strategies to help with the reading and record your book on the log sheet.

Jump Rope For Heart

• Pledges and money are due back on Monday May 29^th.
• Jump Day will be on Friday June 2^nd.

Litter Less Lunch

• Students are asked to bring a litter less lunch on Wednesday May 31^st, as part of a project the Grade 5W class is working on.

Book Donation

• If you have books, you are no longer using, the Grade 4/5D class is looking to collect books to donate to the community.
• Please send them in by June 2^nd.

K-2 Musical

• This will take place on Tuesday June 6^th at 9:00AM in the Gym.

Water Bottles

• Just a reminder to bring in a water bottle that you can refill and use throughout the day.
