Hello Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is Tuesday, so make sure you bring your book back.

Literacy Assessment - Just a reminder that the Grade 2 students will be writing their Literacy Assessment from May 22 - June 1st. The reading part is provincial and the district will be doing the writing part. This will be done during the first part of the mornings in our Literacy Block.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the gray folders. Our spelling words focus on question words and the word work activity is on these words as well. In math we are working on adding 2 digit numbers. We have been using the strategy;add the tens, make another ten if you can and add on the ones. For reading comprehension we have a poem about caterpillars. Read carefully and find the answers in the poem. Please make sure that you read each night and record your book on the log sheet.

Class Project With Texas - We met with our friends on Thursday and Sydney, Luther and Isabella did an awesome job as the poetry reader and weather and class reporters. Our tulips are all in bloom now. We finished our letters and mailed them to our friends. We also wrote and illustrated a book for them called If You Give A Wolf Some Watermelon. The students did an excellent job with this! Our friends are done of school on Friday May 25th!

Jump Rope For Heart - If you are collecting pledges for this the pledge sheets must be in on Friday May 25th. Jump Day will be on Friday June 1st.

Have a super week!
