Posted: March 30, 2015

Hi Everyone, I hope you had a fun weekend! We are still having some cool temperatures and there is lots of snow on the playground, so please make sure you are dressed for the weather.    Phys. Ed Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.    Library Our library day is on Wednesday. Please bring your book back so you can get another one.   Math We are continuing with our unit on measurement using non-standard units. This week we are working with using only one copy of a unit and estimating. Students can keep working on their math facts and strategies at home, as well as counting forwards and backwards by 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s.  Easter Dinner If you would like to order the Easter Dinner, please Pre-Order by Tuesday March 31st. The cost of the dinner is $6.00 and it will be on Thursday April 2nd.    Homework/Borrow-A-Book The homework for the week is listed in the blue folders. Our spelling words this week focus on the /th/ blend and the /oo/ vowel sound. Please make sure that you read each night and record your reading on the log sheet. Remember to use the strategies we have been working on.  Class Project With Texas Our friends in Texas have been having some very warm temperatures, unlike our weather here. We were not able to connect with them last week, as they had an unexpected tornado drill. We are hoping to meet with them on Thursday.  Yearbook Orders If you would like to order a yearbook for the 2014-2015 school year, the last day to place orders is Tuesday March 31st. The cost of the yearbook is $20.00.    Have a fabulous week! Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter holiday with their family and friends!
