Hi Everyone!
I hope you had a fun long weekend! There is still lots of snow on the playground, but it is melting and wet. Make sure you are dressed for the weather. Try to keep an extra pair of socks and mittens in your back pack.
Phys.Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Library - Tuesday is our library day, so make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.
Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. This is a review week for our spelling words, so there are 12 words that we already had. The word work activity focuses on finding the missing word from each sentence. Read carefully, what word will sound right and make sense. In math we are working on measurement, using the caledar to problem solve and collecting data using pictographs. We are starting to focus more on reading comprehension. Reading for details and using all information, including the pictures, when we read. The students will have a reading for details activity where they have to use the picture to answer questions. Please make sure that you are reading each night and record your book on the log sheet.
Kraft Hockeyville - Jersey Day - Friday March 29th is Jersey Day in support of the Renous Kraft Hockeyville. Students and staff are asked to wear a hockey jersey on this day. The committee is also asking everyone's support in voting for their bid to become the Kraft Hockeyville Rink for 2019. You can go online and vote at http://www.krafthockeyville.ca/. Voting starts on Friday March 29th at 1:00PM and continues until Saturday March 30th until 9:30PM. Vote as often as you can. Please help support this very worthy cause.
Have an awesome week everyone!
