Posted: January 28, 2018

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun weekend and were able to get outside to play. Please make sure that you are dressed for the weather.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Tuesday. Please make sure that you bring your book back, so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. Our spelling words this week are our words for the Spell-A-Thon, which will be starting on February 1st. The word work activity is a review of the vowel sounds we have been working on. In Math we are working on mental math strategies; 1 more, 1 less, doubles and making 10. The writing activity focuses on using voice in our writing. Write about a time you went sliding. Make sure you add voice, details and begin and end sentences the right way. Please make sure that you read each night and record your book on the log sheet.

Skating - We have skating on Monday January 29th. Our ice time is 10:20 - 11:05AM. Students will need their skates and helmet. Parents and grandparents please join us at the rink.

Class Project With Texas - We met with our friends on Thursday. Reno, Luther and Quintin did a super job as the weather and class reporters and poetry reader. Our friends mailed out their letters to us, so we are excited to get them in the mail.

Spell-A-Thon Kick Off Assembly/Pep Rally - Our annual Spell-A-Thon fundraiser will kick off on Thursday February 1st. Students and staff are asked to wear school colours on this day.

Have a spectacular week!!
