Grade 2 News - January 22 - January 26

Posted: January 22, 2018

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back! I hope you had a fun weekend! Please make sure that you are dressed for the weather each day. It would be a good idea to keep an extra pair of mittens and socks in your book bag, just in case they get wet.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Tuesday. Make sure you bring your book back so you can get another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folder. Our spelling words this week focus on more than one, adding /s/ to the end of a word. The word work activity is on this as well. In Math we are working on mental math strategies to help with adding and subtracting. This weeks homework is on adding and subtracting 0 and doubles. We continue to work on voice in our writing. The activity this week is to write as if you were a snowman. Make sure you add voice, details and begin and end your sentences the right way. Please make sure that you are reading each night and record your book on the log sheet. Keep working on your math facts and strategies at home.

Credit Union Day - School Credit Union Day is on Tuesday January 23rd.

Skating - Our next skating day is on Monday January 29th. Ice time is 10:20 - 11:05AM. Students need skates and helmets. Parents and grandparents, please join us at the rink if you can.

Class Project With Dallas, Texas - We met with our friends on Thursday. Calleigh, Reno and Riley B., did a great job as the weather and class reporters and poetry reader. Our friends are still getting some colder weather.

Have and awesome week!
