Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun weekend! Please make sure that you are dressed for the weather this week. It would be a good idea to keep an extra pair of socks and mittens in your book bag.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Tuesday. Make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. We have a new set of spelling words focussing on the long /o/ and /oo/ and /ou/ vowel sounds as well as /y/ at the end of words that says/i/. Our word work activity will be on these vowels and words. In math weare starting to work on mental math strategies and place value to 100. We continue to work on the voice trait in writing so our writing activity this week is on this. It is very important that the students read each night and record their book on the log sheet.

Class Project With Texas - We were excited to reconnect with our friends after the break. Keegan, Brooke and Ethan did a super job as the weather and class reporters and the poetry reader. Our friends got our parcel before Christmas and they are writing letters now to send to us. The students were quite surprised in both classes to find that we were actually warmer than our Texan friends on Friday!

Skating - Our next skating day is coming up on Monday January 29th. Ice time is 10:20 - 11:05AM.

Have an awesome week!!
