Posted: February 14, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Wow! What a cold weekend we had! Please make sure you bundle up and are dressed for the weather. I hope everyone had a fun Valentine's Day!

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Spell-A-Thon Fundraiser - Just a reminder that all pledge sheets are due back on Tuesday February 16th. Please do your best to collect pledges and learn your words. All money raised goes to the Student Council to help support student activities. The Spell-A-Thon will be held on Wednesday February 17th. Good Luck Everyone!

Library - Our library day is on Friday, please bring your book back so you can get out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. Our spelling words for the week are our Spell-A-Thon words. Math focuses on order in subtraction and using strategies. Remember when you are reading your story to make sure you answer your questions in complete sentences. Our Canadian Flag turns 51 on February 15th. Use voice in your writing to tell what the flag means to you. Please make sure you are reading your book each night and record it on the log sheet.

Math - Remember to keep working on your strategies at home and your math facts. This will help you with adding and subtracting.

Class Project With Texas - Madison, Jayden and Alexis did a great job with the weather and class reports and the poem. Our friends had big news to share! Their tulips emerged! Our garden is still covered in snow. They got our valentine cards and letters in the mail.

Have a spectacular week!
