Grade 2 News - December 2 - December 6

Posted: December 1, 2019

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun weekend! We have started the month of December already! The first three months went by fast!

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Thursday. Make sure you bring your book back, so you can sign out another one.

Skating - Our first skating day of the year is on Tuesday December 3rd. Students will need their skates and a helmet. We do have some extra ones at the school. Let me know if you need some. Our ice time is 10:05 - 10:40AM. Parents and grandparents are welcome to join us if you can.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folder. Our spelling words this week focus on the long /a/ bossy /e/ vowel sound. The word work activity is on this as well. In writing we are working on the organization trait. Students need to tell in order how they get ready to go out and play in the snow. In math we are working on place value, counting with money, showing numbers in different ways and counting by 5s and 2s starting at 1. Make sure that you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet.

PJ Day - We are having a PJ/Athletic/Comfy Wear Day on Friday December 6th, as part of a district Literacy Challenge.

Have a super week!
