Posted: April 5, 2022

Hi Everyone!

Welcome Back!! I hope you had a fun weekend! We are into the month of April, and hopefully some warmer temperatures and melting snow!

Phys. Ed

  • Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Library

  • Our library day is on Thursday. Make sure you bring your book back so you  can sign out another book.

Homework/Reading

  • The homework for the week is listed in the orange homework books.
  • This week our spelling words focus on two-part words and /er/ endings. Go over them each night and practice spelling them. We will have our test on Friday.
  • The word work activity focuses on the spelling words. Read each sentence and circle the word missing. Pick 2 words that are underlined and write a sentence for each one. Make sure your sentences begin and end properly and have good details.
  • We have been working on reading comprehension and this week there is a story to do. Read the story 2 times. Read the questions, then underline the answers in the story. Circle the right answer. Remember if you can’t remember the answer, go back, and read it again.
  • In Math we have started working on equal and unequal. Making sets to show each, finding sets that are equal, finding number sentences that are equal to each other. There are also some quick facts to keep up with our math strategies.
  • Choose one book from the reading bag to read each night. Use your strategies to help with the reading and record your book on the log sheet.

Cafeteria

  • Easter Special Meal – This will consist of ham and potatoes, veggies, milk, and dessert.
  • This will be the only meal offered on that day, Tuesday April 12th.
  • If your child would like the meal, they need to pre-order by Friday April 8th.
  • Cost of the meal is $7.00

Water Bottles

  • Just a reminder that we can’t drink from the fountains.
  • Please send in a water bottle for your child to use at school. They can refill them during the day.

Have a fantastic week Grade 2!
