Homework- This Week- Read each night                            - Review sight words                            - Complete 3 printing pages- return homework book Friday       We have been learning about the groundhog and would like to thank everyone for helping us with our Groundhog Day survey. We totaled the results in class and it was very close, 52 people thought the groundhog would not see it's shadow and 49 people thought it would. We know that the groundhog did see it's shadow so we will have 6 more weeks of winter.       Our annual school Spell-a-thon will kickoff on Tuesday February 3rd. We are asking everyone to wear burgundy and gold, our school colours, to show your school spirit. Should their be no school on Tuesday, we will have our assembly on Wednesday.A memo and spell-a-thon pledge sheet will be going home on the day of the assembly.          Library- We have library every Wednesday afternoon. Please return your book so that you can sign out a new one.           We have Show and Tell on Wednesday. Students are to bring in an item they would like to show and tell their friends about. It would be helpful if the students could practice at home so they willl fill comfortable talking in class.         We have gym classes every Monday-Thursday. Please wear comfy shoes and clothing to run and play in.         We will be exchanging valentine'sin class on February 12th. I will be sending home our class list on Friday. I would like the students to print their own Valentine to their friends and hope that this will give them lots of time to complete them on their own.
