Kindergarten News Feb 3-7th

Hi there everyone! I hope you had a fun weekend. It looks like we are in for 6 more weeks of winter according to groundhog, Shubenacadie Sam. He saw his shadow yesterday. We will look at our predictions tomorrow and see how many of us guessed right.

Homework - This week please continue to read your book each night.Look for your spelling words in your books. Practice printing your spelling words.Our spell-a-thon test is on Feb. 20th, so we have lots of time to learn our spelling words. In Math, we are working on quickly identifying what numbers come before and after a given number. Also, practice comparing two groups of items and identifying which groups has more, fewer or the same amount.

Our school Spell-a-thon fundraiser has begun. This is our only major fundraiser for the year. Students collect pledges\donations and return their pledge sheet by February 19th. We will write our test on Feb.20th and all money is due on Feb.28th. Good luck to everyone and thank you for your support.

Skating- We go skating on Tuesday, Feburary 4th at the Civic Center 8:45-9:25 am. Everyone is welcome to come out and skate with your child. When on the ice eeryone must wear skates and all students must wear a helmet.

Library-Every Tuesday we go to the library.All books must be returned before you can sign out a new one.

Phys. Ed- we have gym classes every Tuesday to Friday, please dress in comfortable clothing.
