Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and got to enjoy the beautiful fall colours that surround our communities. We have a very busy week ahead of us with lots going on. I appreciate all of your support in advance of these events.

Boorrow-A-Book- We will begin our Boorrow-A-Book reading program this week. Each week students will take home 3-4 books in their ziplock bag. Please read the information being sent home. Students will read their books throughout the week (Monday-Thursday) and return the books on Friday. You should spend about 10 minutes of reading each night, so read one book a night. Be sure to fill out the reading log and have your child print their name on the sheet. Thanks and Happy reading!!

Zoo-phonics alphabet chart- Review the actions, sounds and letter names for each animal character. Do a few letters each night until your child can identify the letter\sound quickly.

Library- We visit the library on Tuesday. Don't forget to return your book (in the library bag), so that you can sign out a new book.

Phys.Ed classes- We have gym class every Wednesday to Friday. Please dress in comfortable clothing on these days.

Visit to Fletcher's Farm\Corn Maze & Terry Fox Walk-On Tuesday, September 29th, the Kindergarten classes will be walking to the corn maze. The cost of the trip is $2 per child and the Student Council will pay the remaining $3 fee.During our walk to the farm, we are proud to participate in the 40th Annivaersary of the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope and will "TrylikeTerry, as we dedicate our walk in his memory and for our family and friends. Students are asked to bring a donation from home. Each class is trying to raise $40 and I have encouraged the children to try and earn their money by doing a chore or help others out at home. This will be their own "Try like Terry" activity. We have been talking about Terry and the amazing journey he had walking across the country to rasie money for cancer research. Please share your memories of Terry with your child. They are very interested in learning about Terry. He truly was an amazing Canandian!!!

Orange Shirt Day- On Wednesday,September 30th, please wear orange in remembrance of the residential school children.

School Pictures are on Friday, October 2nd for all K-8 students. Bring your SMILES!!
