Hi everyone, Happy Halloween and Happy November! It was a lovely weekend but, as we turn the calendar to a new month the mornings are chillier at school so please be sure to wear a warmer jacket, gloves \mittens and a hat.  Here's what we is happening this week in Kindergarten,

Happy Halloween- On Monday, October 31st, we will have our class Halloween party. The school will be providing a healthy snack of fruit and veggies for the class. It is not necessary to send in treats, but, if you do a treat bag please remember that we are a peanut\nut free school. Thanks!! Have a super fun evening as you go door to door for treats.

Literacy- Read your Borrow-A-Books each night. You do not have to read all 3 books each night, but shoud read 1 or 2.This week read the ABC Letter Tracing Book and 2 student books, Letter Dd book and Hallloween Counting Book. With your finger, trace each letter by following the arrows. Say each letter name, letter sound and animal name.ex.A a alligator. Focus on letters your child does not know, as well as those letters in their name.If your child recognizes all the letters, then focus on letter sounds they don't know. As students read the two student books, have them point to each word and stop at the period.Use the pictures for cues to help identify the words. Students should be recognizing some familiar sight words  like: I, see, a, the, to. Please remember to fill in the reading log each night and have your child print their name.Return your borrow-a-book bag back to class on Friday.

Library- We will visit the library and sign out a new book on Thursday. Keep the book for the week and return it the following Thursday. Happy reading!

Phys. Ed. Classes are every Tuesday,Thursday and Friday.Be sure to wear comfy clothes.

Remember to pack your water bottle each day.

Let's have a great week in Kindergarten. Smile and be kind to each other!!! :)
