Hi there ! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.We have a very exciting week ahead of us, here's what we can look forward to:
Literacy- Please read your Borrow-A-Books each night. We have 3 books this week.Read one or two of your books each night. As you read, quickly say the sight words you know and try to stretch out unknown words by saying all the letter sounds you hear. Look at the picture for cues. Retell the story when you are done. Tell someone what your favourite part of the story was ana why.Remember to fill in the reading log each night and print your name neatley.Please, return all books in the borrow-a-book bag on Friday.Thanks!
Rock Star Words- Practice your words throughout the week. When your child knows all words quickly, please sign (parent signature) the sheet and return it to class and I will test your child to see if they are ready for the next list. The children must consistently know the words each time I test them. Thanks!
Timeline- We are discussing how we have changed since we were babies to present. The children are bringing home a timeline to complete. We are looking for 3 pictures, infant, toddler (2-3yrs) and now. Please share with your children what they were like at each age. They will share their timeline with the class.Please send in your timeline as you finish them. I would like them returned by Friday,June 16th.Thanks!
Bowling\DQ Field Trip-Our end of the year field trip is on Tuesday, June 13th.Please wear a white t-shirt as we are doing cosmic bowling. If you have not sent in your $8 for the meal, please do so by Tuesday. Thanks!
Student Appreciation Day- We are celebrating our amazing students on Wednesday, June, 14th. Our Home and School have lots of fun activities planned for our Raiders. There will be BBQ hot dogs for lunch. If your child does not like hot dogs please send a lunch.
Phys. Ed. Classes - We have gym class on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week. Please dress in comfy clothes ready to exercise, run and have fun with Mrs. Dickson.
Library- Our library is now closed for the year, please return any books you may still have at home as soon as possible. Thanks!
Water bottles- Don't forget to pack your water bottles and bring it to class each today.
Happy Father's Day- We want to wish all Father's, Grandfathers' a very happy Father's Day on Sunday June,18th.We hope you have an awesome day! We love you! We are in for a very busy but,fun week together in Kindergarten! So smile and please be kind to each other! Mrs. Sullivan-Goguen :)
