Hi there! We have a short but busy three day week ahead of us. This is the news in Kindergarten:

Read your Borrow-A-Book- Read and be read to each night. This week we have three levelled text. As you read; point to each word, use the pictures for cues, say the beginning letter sound and sound out all letters in an unknown word, identify sight words you know. It is very important for the children to read 1 or 2 books each night and please remember to record the book title and have your child print their name. When the reading log is not signed each night, I will assume the books were not read and send them back for the following week.Keep the books for the week and return on Tuesday.

Rock Star Sight Words- Continue to review and print your sight words this week.We have been reviewing the word list daily and are focused on spelling the words from the list. Please continue to work on this, as you practice your sight words.Once you know the words quickly, sign and return it to class and I will check your knowledge and send home the next sheet. 

Report Cards-go home today Monday, April 11th. Please keep the report card and the memos inside.Sign the response sheet and Parent\Teacher appoinment sheet and please return in the envelope. I will do my best to schedule interviews for the times requested. If the times alloted are not convenient for you,please let be know and we can reschedule. I will send a note with your interview time home on Tuesday.

Parent Teacher Interviews are Wednesday,April 13th from 4-6 pm and Thursday,April 14th from 8:30-11:30 am.There is no school for students on Thursday.

100th Day of School Collections- We will be celebrating the 100th Day of School on Tuesday April,19th.Today, Monday April 11th, the 100th Day memo and collection bag went home. Students are to make a collection of 100 items that can fit in the paper bag. In class we have been been counting 10 groups of 10 ten make 100. This is a much easier way for the children to count. Please return the collection to class on Tuesday.Have fun and thanks for your help!!

Library- Please return your book to school on Tuesday so you will be able to sign out a new book for the week.

Easter Lunch Special will be served on Tuesday April 12th.

Phys. Ed.-We have gym classes on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.Wear your comfy clothes.                                                                 

Outside-We still have some snow on the playground so please continue to send your child to school with winter or rubber boots, extra mittens\gloves, pants and socks.Thanks!

Remember to pack your water bottle daily.

No School on Good Friday,April,15th and Easter Monday,April,18th.
