This week we are going to try a new site and a new lesson :)
Follow the link to www.netmath.ca/activate
From here, you will first need to click on Activate. You will be asked for your student activation code, for Grade 5 it is B553-349F
You will then be asked to fill in your first name
last name
password
confirm password (this just means to put your password again)
*My suggestion for a password is to use the same password as for your school Office 365, so you don't have to remember so many passwords OR if you create a different password, write it down in a safe place you won't lose.
Your account is ACTIVATED! You can then go in and activities are waiting for you.
1. The first activity is a getting to know the site. This will teach you about the tools available, and how to use the site.
2. The next two activities are on Probability. The program will automatically save your progress when you exit, and will be there for you on your next visit.
*Please remember, when you make your next visit to the site do NOT activate again. Simply sign in using your firstname, last name and password
Activities for Tuesday/Thursday:
1. Fact Practice: Find a partner, pencil and paper to keep score, and a pair of dice. Take turns rolling the dice, and find the product of the dice (multiply). The person to get the most facts correct after ten rolls wins!
2. Fact practice: Follow the link to www.mathplayground.com
Scroll down to Multiplication games and click on "Monster Stroll". Choose whether you want to practice Multiplication, Division or both, and then choose your monster and follow the orange arrow to play. The object of the game is to practice your facts and reach the finish line on the opposite corner first to win. Watch for the signs! ( <,>,=)
Have fun!
