This message is for all students in K-8!  Our Maker Space is up and running and we would like to start the New Year off with a Challenge to all levels to create a BUTTON for our School! Any student interested in creating a button that you think represents NELSON RURAL, please come see Ms. Hitchman and she will give you the button template.

You will have the chance to design the button and pass it in to Miss. Hitchman. Once the challenge is over, each level K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 will have a vote during lunchtime. All students and staff will have the chance to vote on their favorite button. The winners at each grade level will be able to use the button maker to create their own button! All three winning buttons will then be voted on.

The winning button will be available for purchase, and all button proceeds will go back to the Maker Space. The deadline to have your button created and passed in will be January 24^th. Good luck to everyone and stay tuned for next month’s Maker Space Challenge!
