The past week in Grade 8K and 8B: (Silent Sustained Reading and response - 15 minutes each day)

• We practiced and completed presentations, formal speeches, or spoken word poems.  
• Today we began a discussion on What is Poetry? This led to the beginning of a quick write about if you could pick 10 songs or more to play while on a desserted island what would they be..

Homework/Reminders:  Read 30 minutes, log and respond.

Think of 10 songs or more you would want on your own mix tape/playlist (need to have words).
