The past week in Grade 7P and 7H: (Silent Sustained Reading and response - 15 minutes each day)

• We practiced and completed presentations, formal speeches, or spoken word poems.  
• Today we began a discussion on What is Poetry? This led to a quick write about if you could pick 10 songs or more to play while on a desserted island what would they be.
• Students then had to pick their favorite two songs due to the lyrics and explain why.

Homework/Reminders:  Read 30 minutes, log and respond.

Write out or print off your favorite song based on today's list of songs.
