Good evening, Nelson Rural families.
An important message from Public Health has been sent to your email. Please check that email immediately. Public Health has confirmed a potential COVID-19 exposure at Nelson Rural.
As a result, tomorrow, Wednesday, December 15th will be an operational day. Students will learn from home, and staff will report to school as usual.
Please note that the Public Health process has changed for this case. All students (both vaccinated and unvaccinated students) must rapid test each day. Two consecutive day negative tests (tomorrow and Thursday morning) are required to return to school. All staff are also encouraged to rapid-test daily.
Please read all information and directions provided in the letter from Public Health (posted on the right under "News." This information is also posted on our Facebook page. Please note that rapid tests (also known as POC tests) will be distributed from the school tomorrow, Wednesday, December 15th from 1 pm - 3 pm. The location to pick up the rapid tests is the front entrance.
