This site has a built-in timer of Math Mad Minute games to help kids learn their basic Math facts in a fun, challenging way.  This site also offers a variety of activities in Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Phonics.

The elementary team at our school will be putting on a "Night of the Arts" for the public on Thursday, November 19, 2009.  Preparations, decorating and practice will begin next Wednesday, October 14th after school in my classroom until 4:00 p.m and will take place weekly for the performers and as needed until the night of the event.  Families are asked to make arrangements to pick their children up at the school at this time.  Students will be contributing their art work, culinary skills, music, dance, and a myriad of artistic skills.  If you have any questions, please contact me anytime at the phone number at the top of the page.  I will be sending a memo home next week, outlining the event.  Families are invited to contribute cookies to the refreshment portion of the the event.  We look forward to showcasing your children's many talents!

Students have been working on becoming good readers and have sustained their reading for 12 minutes on three occasions.  We started at a minute so we've come a long way.  The next step of the Daily Five, is "Read To Buddy."  The students can't wait for the next step.  I was able to pick up several...
Students have begun cursive writing in the Grade 3 class.  Booklets have been send home in homework forlders for them to practise.  The first letters to practise are "i" and "t."  Students are asked to complete the practise for these two letters over the 5-day break and daily until complete.   ...
