This week we are having a few major Assessments. Notes have gone home explaining them but encouragement and excitment from home will help our students to do well. So let's make sure they have lots of rest and are ready to do their best!

Our Provinical Literacy Assessment in reading and writing will begin on Thursday, May 21, 2015. It is very important that each of our students is well rested and excited to take part.  They are encouraged to come to school during these special days and not to miss them as it is only allowed to be written in a certain amount of time.  The students are required to read passages and to write a piece of writing of their choice, which will be scored. This once again allows us to see where their strengths and weaknesses are and what we can teach differently to make improvments.  Good luck to one and all.

Today the district Math Mentors will be in to test our students on their final Assessment for the year. This test is done three times to see how much the students progress and which areas they have strengths and weaknesses in. Good luck to all and do your best!Math Assessment

We are learning about liquids in science class and everyone is highly involved with their hands and their brains. Ask your son or daughter what they have learned about them and the best experiment is yet to come!

We sure learned and participated in many Earth Day activities.  We made recycled planters, started a composting bin, read some stories and did our list of Earth friendly activities at home to make the Green Team.  What a great bunch of students we have and they love their Earth too.

We planted many tulips last October and they have finally emerged through the snow and are ready to bloom if we can just get some nice warm weather.  As you know as the old saying goes "April Showers bring May flowers!" Let's hope this is true.
