Posted: October 1, 2017

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun weekend and enjoyed the sunshine! The weather is getting cooler in the mornings, so please make sure you dress for the weather.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Library day is on Tuesday. Make sure you bring your book back, so you can sign out another one.

Book Orders - Scholastic book order forms are going home on Monday. If you would like to order a book from the October list please send your order form and money back by Thursday October 5th.

Homework/ Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is recorded in the orange folders. The spelling words this week focus on the short /i/ vowel sound. Our word work is working on the short /i/ vowel sound too. We have started working on the 6+1 writing traits and we are starting with ideas. You have to have a main idea and then add good details to go with it. When you are writing, make sure that your sentences begin and end the right way. In Math we are working on collecting data and ordering numbers to 20. Please make sure that you are reading each night and record your book on the log sheet.

Class Project With Dallas, Texas - We have started working on our project with our partner class in Dallas, Texas. We had our first weekly report on Thursday through Skype. The students got to meet and say hello to their pen pals. Sydney and Brooke did a great job as our weather and class reporters. We received their class letter and found out lots of things about them. We are working on our class letter of introduction and will send it out this week.

Thanksgiving Day - Monday October 9th. There is no school on this day. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.

Have a super week!
