Posted: November 26, 2017

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fun long weekend! We are getting some colder and snowy weather, so please make sure that you are dressed for the weather.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - We do not have library this week because the Book Fair is taking place in the library.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. Our spelling words this week focus on the long /a/, bossy /e/ vowel sound and our word work activity is on this vowel sound as well. We are continuing to work on the organization trait in writing. The writing activity is on using a picture and telling events in order. Make sure you add good details and begin and end your sentences the right way. In Math we are starting to count with money, so you can work on this at home too. As well we are counting in different ways and doing place value to 50. Please make sure that you are reading each night and record your book on the log sheet.

Scholastic Book Fair - The Home and School will be having a Book Fair in the library beginning on Monday November 27th. The following are the dates and the times: Monday-Wednesday 9:00-3:00PM; Family Night 5:00-7:00PM; Thursday 9:00-12:00. We hope you will be able to stop by.

Food Drive: The anuual school food drive for the Food Bank is continuing until December 15th, please bring an item if you can.

Class Project with Texas - Our friends were away for Thanksgiving Break, so we did not have our weekly meeting. We did finish our letters and posters and mailed them out.

Have a fabulous week!
