Hi Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your days off. Please make sure you are dressed for the weather.     Phys. Ed Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.     Library Our library day is on Friday. Please make sure you bring your book back so you can get another one.   Play With Your Food Art Show 2D, 2S and 3H will be hosting our 9th annual Play With Your Food Art Show. Our 3 classes are partnered with 3 classes at St. John's Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas. The Art Show is one of the activities with our project. The students there did their show in October and we shared our Thanksgiving in Canada with them. We will be having our show this week and they are having their Thanksgiving and will share what they did with us. Our show will be on Wednesday November 25th. A memo went home with the students to explain the project. Students are to make their character out of a piece of fruit or vegetable. Check at home for items that are getting old or bruised. We will be sending home the black eyed peas, that you can use for eyes on Tuesday. The characters are to be made on Tuesday, as they can only be done the day before the show. Students are asked to bring their character to school on Wednesday. Parents are invited to come to the school after 10:00 am to view the display. Thank you for your support with this project. Please call us at the school if you have any questions.  Math We are continuing our work with our unit on Numbers to 100. We are now working on 10s and 1s and place value. Keep working on counting in different ways and counting with money.   Homework/Borrow-A-Book The homework for the week is listed in the blue folders. Our spelling words for the week focus on the /o/ and /e/ vowel sounds. The math is on 10s and 1s and place value. We are working on the organization writing trait, so our writing focuses on telling things in order when we write.    Class Project With Texas We were able to have 2 reports last week, on Monday and Wednesday. Ryan, Cayden and Riley did a great job on Monday as our reporters and poetry reader. On Wednesday, Ben, Callie and Sidney did a wonderful job as our reporters and poetry reader. The students enjoyed connecting with our friends and learning about the weather and some news about tornadoes. Our friends are off school this week as they celebrate Thanksgiving. We will be back to our weekly reports next week.  Have a fabulous week!
