Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a great long weekend! Remember to dress for the weather as the days are getting colder.

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Library day is on Wednesday. Please bring your book back so you can get another one.

Credit Union - Credit Union day is on Tuesday November 22nd.

Scholastic Book Orders - If you would like to order a book, please have your order form and payment in by Friday November 25th.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - Our Spelling words for this week focus on the short/i/ and /o/ vowel sounds, so our word work will work on this as well. We have started a new writing trait - Organization, so our writing activity for the week is working with that. In Math we are working on counting by 5s and using money to count by 5s also. We are working on counting by 2s up to 30 and backwards from 30 and finishing up with ordinal numbers. This week we are starting to work on place value for numbers up to 20. Please make sure that you read your book each night and record it on your log sheet. Make sure you are using the strategies we have been working on to help with your reading.

Class Project With Dallas, Texas - We met with our friends on Thursday. Whittney, Rowyn and Alissa did a super job as the weather and class reporters and poetry reader. Our friends are off this week to celebrate their Thanksgiving holiday, so our next meeting will be on Friday December 2nd.

Skating - Please note that our first skating day of the year will be on Tuesday November 29th. Our ice time is 9:25 - 10:05 am. Students will need skates and helmets. If your child does not have them, please check with me, as we do have some extra at the school. Parents and grandparents are welcome to come out and skate with us.

Have a super week!
