Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend! Hopefully we will see some warmer weather days this week. The mornings are still cool at times, so please make sure you are dressed for the weather.

Phys. Ed- Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Our library day is on Friday. Please make sure your book is back so you can get out another one.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the green folders. Our spelling words this week focus on base words and word endings. We are working on measuring with non-standard units in math. The writing homework this week, is on the main idea -Spring. Students should have a good opening and ending sentence. Tell good details, use voice and word choice and make sure sentences begin and end properly. Remember that when you are doing the reading comprehension story to read carefully and use the strategies we have been working on. Students should be reading their Borrow-A-Book each night and recording their book on the log sheet.

Math - We are working on measurement using non-standard units. This week we will focus on measuring with 1 copy of a unit and measuring the distance around an object. Students can still be working on their math facts and strategies, as our next unit will be on adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers.

Math Games - The K-2 students started bringing home math games last week. These will be sent home each Tuesday and they are to be returned on Thursday. This is a great way to work on math skills and have fun playing the games with your family.

Class Project With Texas - We are back to our weekly reports with our friends in Ms. Sands class. Ben, Hunter and Jayden did a super job as the weather and class reporters and poetry reader. We had news to share with them because our tulips emerged on April 6th! It was very cold when we went out to check and we couldn't believe that they could come up out of the frozen ground! Our friends were very surprised that we were still having snow. It was 29 C there last week!

Have a spectacular week!
